An active artist for 15 years, Robin Richerson has now found his passion through the modeling of clay by creating figurative art where he captures a moment in time with his subject matter. His excitement in art comes from the identification of the story being revealed to the observer through a gesture or body language and an ability to find movement in each design. In non-objective pieces Mr. Richerson works to create movement and drama within positive and negative spaces so that as the viewer moves about the piece there is revealed a constant reshaping and changing composition.
Early Influences
Robin was raised in the Midwestern United States and has had the opportunity to travel widely through much of the US, Europe, and Asia. These cultural experiences have broadened his view of the art world. His early sculptural experience involved working in various media including carved wood and stone, as well as welded steel constructions.

Robin received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in fine art from the University of Missouri, and after graduation, he continued his artistic development working under the tutelage of Kwan Wu, an internationally known figurative sculptor.
